2013 was a year of musical exploration for the members of this band. We met about once a week for improvisational jam sessions where we would bring our inspirations to air. A couple recordings that made it onto this CD were from early on when we had a very limited recording setup; mostly just for educational purposes.
We quickly determined we had some kind of chemistry and started recording in earnest. Most of what you hear started with the four of us hanging out, listening to music and talking, then hitting the record button and playing music for an hour or two. Often times with no specific ideas voiced, a sample, a drum beat, or a melody would begin and others would join in.
Many hours of our sessions were picked through for the ideas and performances we thought were our most inspiring followed by healthy amount of editing, mixing, and a few nights of overdubbing to shape arrangements and musical ideas into this musical recording.
